I'm getting crazy. Cron bombs me with e-mails, even if I set a nullstring as e-mail address and pipe the output to /dev/null.
Currently my crontab looks like this
MAILTO="" # m h dom mon dow command */30 * * * * php /var/www/dblx.io/www/tweetnest/maintenance/loadtweets.php > /dev/null 2>&1 */35 * * * * php /var/www/dblx.io/www/tweetnest/maintenance/loaduser.php > /dev/null 2>&1 00,15,30,45 * * * * curl -L -s -k https://dblx.io/fever/?refresh > /dev/null 2>&1 11 * * * * php /var/www/piwik.dblx.io/www/misc/cron/archive.php --url=http://piwik.dblx.io > /dev/null 2>&1
I restartet cron, nullmailer, even the server. But no success. I still receive the output of the scripts.
Do you have any ideas
I changed MAILTO to a valid e-mail address and now don't receive unwanted e-mails. It seems that now the "> /dev/null 2>&1" is recognized. I put a simple echo line in my crontab and received the mail. The OS is Ubuntu Precise.
My problem is solved. Any ideas why Ubuntu behaves so strange?
