I am having an issue setting up a subdomain to proxypass using apache2 to webmin.

I can currently access webmin the following ways:

https://mydomain.com:10000
https://webmin.mydomain.com:10000

What I am trying to accomplish is this:

https://webmin.mydomain.com

Here is my virtual host

<VirtualHost *:443>
    ServerName webmin.mydomain.com
    SSLEngine On
    SSLProxyEngine On

    #copied webmin's ssl cert which contains private key and certificate
    #also doesn't work when I generate these seperately myself
    SSLCertificateFile /etc/apache2/ssl/miniserv.pem
    SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/apache2/ssl/miniserv.pem

    ProxyPreserveHost On
    ProxyPass         /  https://localhost:10000/
    ProxyPassReverse  /  https://localhost:10000/
    ProxyRequests     Off

    ErrorLog /etc/apache2/ssl.log

    # Local reverse proxy authorization override
    # Most unix distribution deny proxy by default
    # (ie /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/proxy.conf in Ubuntu)
    <Proxy https://localhost:10000/*>
      Order deny,allow
      Allow from all
    </Proxy>
</VirtualHost>

I have read multiple threads on the issue but cannot find an answer. I am hoping someone can help.
