Iam packaging my source code with debuild command. When build target is executed it creates automatically a new control file. So a file called debian/new_control is generated. when binary rule target is executed it checkes debian/control file and generate an error:

dh_gencontrol: No packages to build

I tried to avoid this error by adding this option in my rules file:

dh_gencontrol -- "-cdebian/control_new"

No way!! Any ideas please?

What is 'no way'. What happens when you add that option? – Drew Khoury Aug 27 '13 at 14:30
dh_gencontrol: No packages to build it checks debian/control and not debian/control_new! – joujou Aug 27 '13 at 15:23
