Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I know this might come as a weird question but what I want to do is to hide the Openfire admin panel which is located on www.mydomain.com:9090

This is because if someone does know that XMPP is being used then, people start trying to gain access to the admin panel by trying username and password combos.

I do not want the user to try that.

Is this possible?

Don't open that port? Use a VPN to get into the network and use the Admin panel from there. –  DanBig Sep 16 '13 at 15:23
