Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have mounted a samba share as followed:

//10.1.20.41/public /STORAGE_SERVER cifs rw,relatime,vers=1.0,sec=ntlm,cache=loose,unc=\\10.1.20.41\public,uid=0,noforceuid,gid=0,noforcegid,addr=10.1.20.41,file_mode=0755,dir_mode=0755,nounix,serverino,rsize=61440,wsize=65536,actimeo=1 0 0

settings in smb.con on samba server:

[public]
path = /STORAGE-SERVER/public
writeable = yes
browseable = yes
guest ok = yes
guest account = shareclient
create mask = 0777
directory mask = 0777
oplocks = yes
veto files = /*.pif/autorun.inf/^\w{5}\.exe$/
delete readonly = yes

when i try to unlink a file in this mount via php i get "Permission denied".

when i try to delete it via MC it works out fine.

I even put "www-data" in the root group.

How can i solve this?
