Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a SonicWALL NSA 2400 and I would like to view statistics on open connections.

It seems there is a netstat command available via the serial console but It doesn't seem to work correctly.

Once I establish a connection via serial/console I issue the command show netstat and get the following:

Active Internet connections (including servers)
PCB Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address (state)
-------- ----- ------ ------ --------------------- --------------------- -------
TCP show routines not included. TCP information has not been displayed.
UDP show routines not included. UDP information has not been displayed.

Is there something I am missing?

Do I need to enable some type of higher privileges?

It seems on some versions of the OSs you can run enable which does not seem to be available for me.

I tried to look through their website, user manuals, and CLI Guide without any avail.

Thank you.
