I get some strange issue, a user send a mail to another user (on the same machine Postfix/Cyrus) and this is the log entry:

Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver postfix/smtpd[18510]: C261F176360: client=unknown[192.168.x.y], sasl_method=LOGIN, sasl_username=user1
Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver postfix/cleanup[18513]: C261F176360: message-id=<!&!GAAAAAAAAACN+iQroyA8QKpQ0ezSeTEnwoAAABgAAAAAAAAAjfokK6MgPECqUNHs0nkxJ+TWIgAAAAAAEAAAAAgMQQc2IsNEiuw7Z5+hhUwUAAAAUHJvZmlsZSBm/HIgVGVsU2VydgA=@domain.tld>
Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver postfix/qmgr[1912]: C261F176360: from=<user1@domain.tld>, size=320703, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver postfix/pipe[18515]: C261F176360: to=<user2@domain.tld>, orig_to=<user2@domain.tld>, relay=cyrus, delay=0.18, delays=0.15/0/0/0.02, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered via cyrus service)
Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver postfix/qmgr[1912]: C261F176360: removed

The postfix give the mail to the local delivery agent "cyrus" but then cyrus do a duplicate check and delete the message:

Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver master[18517]: about to exec /usr/lib/cyrus/bin/lmtpd
Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver cyrus/lmtpunix[18517]: executed

Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver cyrus/lmtpunix[18517]: lmtp connection preauth'd as postman
Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver cyrus/lmtpunix[18517]: WARNING: sieve script /var/lib/sieve/a/user2/defaultbc doesn't exist: No such file or directory
Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver cyrus/lmtpunix[18517]: duplicate_check: <!&!GAAAAAAAAACN+iQroyA8QKpQ0ezSeTEnwoAAABgAAAAAAAAAjfokK6MgPECqUNHs0nkxJ+TWIgAAAAAAEAAAAAgMQQc2IsNEiuw7Z5+hhUwUAAAAUHJvZmlsZSBm/HIgVGVsU2VydgA=@domain.tld> user.user2 1382541403
Oct 24 12:51:20 mailserver cyrus/lmtpunix[18517]: dupelim: eliminated duplicate message to user.user2 (delivery)

I can deactivate dupelim to get the message but what happened on delivery agent? The message ID looks very strange and why dupelim think this is a duplicate? How can I find the other mail (non duplicate)?

Don't worry about the message ID, ask why you are running sieve if you don't at least have a default script. Dupelim may think it's a duplicate possibly because you don't have a sieve script, and this may be an mailing list message that other users have seen (therefor a duplicate for dupelim). Many programs that work system wide need information per user to avoid seeing things like mailing lists as dupes. –  NickW Oct 24 '13 at 11:42

Okay so dupelim think it is a duplicate because another user has used this Message ID? So it would be better to deactivate dupelim? –  kockiren Oct 24 '13 at 11:53

This user delete his default sieve script –  kockiren Oct 24 '13 at 11:55

It might be better to disable dupelim until you can give your system some way of identifying individual users. I don't know what dupelim uses as keys for identifying dupes.. but I don't think you will find postfix generates duplicate message IDs very often (if at all) –  NickW Oct 24 '13 at 11:57
