Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have an SQL dump that is around 70GB in size with over a thousand databases inside of it. I am attempting to import it via command line, however I receive the error message...

Access Denied for user root@localhost to Database information_schema

I have read on Server Fault and Stack Overflow and everyone suggested removing the information_schema info from the SQL dump before importing it. The backup is too massive to do it with any friendly tools (notepad++, etc) and the few tools I found that could edit the file didn't make it easy.

As the information_schema data is quite long and I can't tell where it stops and the rest of the data starts, is there any way to do the import and just omit that?
