Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm monitoring free SWAP and free RAM memory using SNMP (snmpd 5.4.3). The former is via "UCD-SNMP-MIB::memAvailSwap.0" and the latter via "NET-SNMP-EXTEND-MIB::nsExtendOutputFull" (using extend functionality of SNMP agent). Sample outputs below:

# snmpget -v 1 -c pass  .
UCD-SNMP-MIB::memAvailSwap.0 = INTEGER: 18481012 kB

# snmpget -v 1 -c pass 'NET-SNMP-EXTEND-MIB::nsExtendOutputFull."getfreeram"'
NET-SNMP-EXTEND-MIB::nsExtendOutputFull."getfreeram" = STRING: 14457

The monitored server has 18,047 MB (~18G) of free swap and 14,457 MB (~14G) of free RAM.

All works as well except for the GPRINT (current, avg and max) which says 14.46 k as free RAM where it should display 14.46 G. The GRPINT for free SWAP reads 18.48 M which should have displayed 18.48 G. The same is also the case for vertical units. Please see the attached image for more clarity:

cacti GPRINT

I haven't made any modifications to CDEF to display the units as k or M. It seems cacti just takes up those units automatically. How can I get this corrected to display G (for GB) instead of k or M?
