I've installed Apache 2.4 on a Windows server (2k8 Std) with PHP 5.4.23 via mod_fcgid.

Config options are:

AcceptFilter http none
AcceptFilter https none

FcgidInitialEnv PHPRC "C:/www/PHP/5.x/5.4/5.4.23"

FcgidInitialEnv PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUESTS 1000
FcgidMaxRequestsPerProcess 1000
FcgidMaxProcesses 60
FcgidIOTimeout 120
FcgidIdleTimeout 120

AddHandler fcgid-script .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
FcgidWrapper "C:/www/PHP/5.x/5.4/5.4.23/php-cgi.exe" .php

An existing server has Apache 2.2, PHP 5.3 via mod_php.

The issue is that requests on the second server are faster, up to 2 seconds on a few pages which are used regularly:

A page which takes 3.2s to load on the upgraded server takes 1.5s to complete the PHP page generation.

Is there anything wrong in the configuration for FCGID that can account for the significantly slower generation?

Server specifications are 4GB RAM, dual-core server. Memory utilisation is 50%.
