Users and DBAs are complaining that "Oracle is slow" on our OEL servers. The only thing I have found from the OS standpoint is that there are some strange IOWAIT stats from iotop.

I guess it is just a lack of available iops. For large database servers I always recommend using SSD storage or larger SAS arrays (and preferably local storage).

I didn't setup the SAN, but AFIAK they're coming from NetApp and are 7200 RPM disks. I can't comment on how they've been carved out on the SAN though... –  에이바 Jan 16 at 15:52
