I am trying to get a pyodbc connection (on a Centos machine), to a DB2 database running on an IBM i.

Whatever connection string or configuration I add, I always get the same message ..

  Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
pyodbc.Error: ('IM002', '[IM002] [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specified (0) (SQLDriverConnect)')

Short of posting my configuration here, is there a working example available anywhere ?

The problem is more likely in your datasource. How is unixODBC configured? – Satanicpuppy Jan 28 '14 at 14:27

What driver are you using & what are your connection settings? Showing relevant snippets of your code might help someone find the problem too. – WarrenT Jan 29 '14 at 23:05
