Open config.inc.php file on phpMyAdmin folder.

Find this line:

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['controluser'] = 'pma';

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlpass'] = '';

Go to phpMyAdmin user privileges. Then change the "pma" password.

Refresh your phpMyAdmin.

i didn't find where the config.inc.php file located? –  gvsharma Feb 3 at 8:51

my config.inc.php has following lines

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['controluser'] = $dbuser;
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlpass'] = $dbpass;

here $dbpass is configured elsewhere.

now searching this secret elsewhere!
