Server Fault is a question and answer site for system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I'm trying to configure a Drupal CMS on my new Amazon EC2 server with Elastic Beanstalk PHP. I also have MySQL configured for my RDS database. I want to get PHPmyAdmin running for use with Drupal.

I uploaded a custom zip file with Drupal 7.26 and a /pma directory with the newest PHPmyAdmin version using the "Upload and Deploy" feature. I can start the Drupal installation fine, but PMA returns an error:

Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly. Also ensure that cookies are enabled in your browser.

I checked the PHP log, and there is nothing about PHPmyAdmin in there, so I think PMA does not know where the PHP installation is.

Any help on how to configure this correctly? I tried to redeploy the same package, and I tried to edit the config.inc.php file before deploying.
