Server Fault is a question and answer site for system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

First, I created a quota template (named 900MB) and defined a notification threshold to send an email in case 90% usage is exceeded.
There, under Send e-mail to the following administrator I added the [Admin Email] variable.

Then, I created a new quota to C:\Users\,
chose the "auto apply" option (applied to each exist and future folder under C:\Users\)
and selected the "900MB" template I have created before to derive from.

The problem is that the settings have not passed from the template to each new quota and the email settings remained empty, while the same operation on another server succeeded as expected

On which version of Windows Server does it work, and on which one doesn't it work? –  Mathias R. Jessen Mar 4 '14 at 15:13
Both are the same, Windows Server 2008 R2 –  elady Mar 4 '14 at 15:35
