Server Fault is a question and answer site for system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

For the beginning, it wasn't my idea to use a Windows Server as a NFS-Server for our CentOS-Webserver. ;-)

At the moment we have webservers, who has mounted a nfs-share from a Windows Server 2012. And this works fine.

For the worst case scenario we made a second Windows Server with "Server for NFS", with the same configuration. But now we have the phenomenon that when our webserver generates a file ( a pdf-file) on the second server it appears, but the pdf-file is just 5KB and empty (normal size is 50KB). I checked the ntfs permission, nfs permission, anything! The NFS settings are the same as on the first server.

Any idea what it could be? When I create a file manually everything works fine. The mount option is also the same.

Thanks for your help
