Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a product I am installing where the pre-requisite is SQL Server. The product documentation (which is quite old) talks about SQL Server 2000. However I am installing SQL Server 2008.

The product docs say "Using SQL Client Network Utility, in the DB-Library Options tab, uncheck the “Automatic ANSI to OEM conversion option”.

SQL Server 2008 doesn't seem to have a SQL Client Network Utility. Google seems to say that I have to use SQL Configuration Studio instead. However, I cannot locate this option in SQL Config Studio. Any idea how to turn this option on/off in SQL Server 2008?
