Server Fault is a question and answer site for system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have provisioned a samba4 server on FreeBSD 10 using UFS as a filesystem.

However, I cannot seem to manage NTFS permissions for the shares such that roaming profiles can be implemented. My smb4.conf file is very simple with shares defined as follows:-

[profiles]
    path = /srvdata/profiles
    read only = No

I have granted the SeDiskOperatorPrivilege to the Domain Users group, however, when I right click the share in Explorer and select Proerties, the Security option is not present.
