Server Fault is a question and answer site for professional system and network administrators. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I just started to port our auto provision system (chef scripts etc) on RHEL 7RC. But something isnt working as expected, I suspect systemd is the culprit.

So we have some default static routes in /etc/sysconfig/static-routes. It isnt active after a server boot, but it is after we do a 'service network restart.

So what is systemd doing here? Is this a bug? I dont have much experience with systemd, so I am not sure what is happening here. And I refuse to use /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/route-eth0 instead of /etc/sysconfig/static-routes for obvious reasons.

Thanks!

Did you install NetworkManager or do you mean to use the old-style scripts? –  Michael Hampton Jun 10 at 21:16
