Following this is excerpts of logs when trying to configure a macvlan interface. For some reason unknown to me, dhclient doesn't seem to get/ack the offer, how come?

--- /etc/network/interfaces
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
  post-up /sbin/ip li add link $IFACE mac0 address EE:92:BF:39:52:BD type macvlan
  pre-down ifdown mac0 && /sbin/ip li delete mac0
  post-up /sbin/ip li add link $IFACE mac1 address EE:92:BF:39:52:BE type macvlan
  pre-down ifdown mac1 && /sbin/ip li delete mac1

auto mac0
iface mac0 inet static
  address 10.0.1.19
  netmask 255.255.0.0

auto mac1
iface mac1 inet dhcp
