I am running Windows Server 2003-2008. And there is a lot of legacy applications (not TSAWARE), so I have to add registry keys to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\Compatibility\Applications

to make them work correctly because of terminal server compatibility feature. Can this feature be disabled?

P.S. I need to allow those applications to access windows folder. Terminal server compatibility redirects windows folder to user profile folder.

Thanks in advance.

What & Why do you want something to access the windows folder? That is almost certainly a very bad thing for an application to do on terminal server. – Zoredache Aug 31 '09 at 16:05
To allow applications to access WINDOWS\TWAIN_32 folder. Otherwise non-TSAWARE applications cannot use scanners! – Sergius Sep 1 '09 at 5:27
