Shared Web Host Fails On RoundCube Install

something in RoundCube's htaccess causes non-specific error on RoundCube install.

no access to apache root, since it's shared hosting. if i clear the htaccess, no error, but RoundCube needs the htaccess stuff to function.

do you know what control panel system your web host is using? i've managed to get roundcube working on h-sphere shared hosting platforms before, if by chance that's what you're on i might be able to dig up my notes
