OEL 6.5 bonding mode=802.3ad no connection

I configured 2nic into bond on OEL 6.5. to cisco switch (lacp)

then I ping gw and get the answer: Destination Host Unreachable

Where is my mistake?

  • Well the LACP all seems fine, the problem is your configured IP Address has not been added to bond in your ifconfig output.

Like fukawi2 said, the bond is fine, the IP addressing is the problem.

Do you really have 10.0.0.0/16 configured on your LAN? Is it possibly 10.0.0.0/24 instead? Or some other IP range?

Don't use ifconfig and route, they are obsolete. Instead use ip address and ip route.

  • There are things which ifconfig and the older tools cannot do. One good example is additional IP addresses without a ethX:Y style subinterface. If you want to use PBR then you must use ip route. It's high time to ditch the old tools and use the iproute2 toolset.
