I am getting some Oops errors after overclocking my processor ARM9 from 266 Mhz to 288 Mhz. These errors comes sometimes when I issue poweroff command. The other scenario is when I left it idle for 10-15 minutes sometimes it gets hung and after reset it gives these Oops.

I think it is something to do with timer.

Looks like you really shouldn't overclock that processor, then.

It is very necessary to overclock it and processor and microcontroller supports overclocking upto 20%. –  SunnyShah Sep 20 '09 at 11:14
    
But then the kernel panics in a timer interrupt handling routine, so obviously it can't cope so well with overclocking... –  Massimo Sep 20 '09 at 12:34

I don't know what exactly is happening here, but there clearly is some relation between system clock and timer interrupts. Maybe somewhat gets out of sync when you overclock the processor... don't know. –  Massimo Sep 21 '09 at 12:20

To answer your direct question, there don't appear to be any modules involved in the crash -- it's crashing inside timer-interrupt-handling code.
