while i am trying to convert remote machine to virtual machine, using vmware converter, i get an error that the converter stand alone agent install\uninstall failed on 'IP'

how can i solve this?

What sort of remote machine (what OS, hardware etc)? Also some info on when you are seeing the failure - is this immediately, in the middle, towards the end? What version of Converter and what is the target Hypervisor environment? – Helvick Oct 15 '09 at 20:53
windows intel something...lol... the failure comes up after i press yes to install and uninstall the converter on the remote machine. my version is 4 – Alex Oct 15 '09 at 20:58
Does the user account on the machine that you're running VMWare Converter from have administrative rights on the remote machine? – Tim Lara Oct 15 '09 at 23:27
