I am running a Vagrant machine on Windows 10 using CentOS 6.7 and have installed Couchbase. For some reason I can not access the couchbase admin from the browser. When testing with telnet 192.168.56.101 8091 I get this:

Connected to 192.168.56.101.

I have also tried disabling the windows firewall but the problem persists.

  • what response do you get back when you do curl http://<ip addr>:8091/pools/default/? Couchbase should respond with a JSON document with a bunch of metrics.

It seems that I needed to forward the port. Once I did this the web console was accessible.

sudo iptables -I INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 8091 -j ACCEPT
sudo service iptables save
