We are a voip startup and want to launch a voip service, while we have the call control platform (broadworks) we are wondering what BSS/OSS platform to use. Our options are to buy a turnkey solution (if it exists) or else to glue together opensource and commerical offerings to create a complete solution.

BSS components we're looking for are identity management, billing, rating, product catalogue, subscription management, reporting, etc..

There are two BSS/OSS platforms that I've seen used widely with Broadworks, Amdocs and Loki, although your Broadsoft account manager/SE might be able to suggest others.

Amdocs is pretty widely used in the industry, it's well-respected and works with Broadworks.

Loki is a new product from a couple of ex-Broadsoft guys, although I've not seen it in use, a customer looks like they're going to choose it over Amdocs and suggested that it looks very promising.

Other than that, I've only seen people use home-grown systems, and typically only when their requirements are particularly complex.

Try dBOSS, by RidgeviewTel - best fully integrated telecom OSS/BSS software I've seen - with CRM, Asset Mgmt, and NMS included if you desire.
