I have a linux VPS with the following specifications:

Disk Space: 100GB Mem: 1024 MB Burst Mem: 1536 MB Bandwidth: 3000GB

I have checked my VPS and the VPS never exceeded the limits . However, the VPS always hangs and does not respond and when I checked HYPER VM, I got the followin error:

Disk: The object has exceeded quota for LXspan Inode: The object has exceeded quota for LXspan Memory :The object has exceeded quota for LXspan

I have contacted my vps provider and they have not been able to help.

Can anyone offer help on this

Thanks

What's the server doing before it hangs? What sort of applications are installed? Knowing that would possibly make troubleshooting easier.... – Bill B Dec 30 '09 at 0:24
Thanks for the comment. Server is used for hosting 4 websites and running OpenVPN. I had snort installed and running also. I have to stop the snort service few days ago to see if this could be the reason for the constant hanging. I entered top command in ssh and saw that snort was using about 6.9% of memory while apache was taking about 1.7% – Martin Jan 1 '10 at 19:18
