This question is regarding this server: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16816110040 I'm trying to figure out if i actually need to buy a ASMB4-iKVM (is it a chip?) The info i have found on google is very vague. Do I need this "ASMB4-iKVM" to get IPMI to work? sorry if this is a stupid question. | |||

Newegg shows the model you linked to as "deactivated" (discontinued?), but a search of their site lists a few other motherboards with "ASMB4-iKVM" as part of their model number. You'll need to contact them to see if it's included. Here is what ProVantage shows for the ASMB4-iKVM (for $55.55). | |||
