I'm setting up a test hyper-v controller on my laptop my VM's can be part of test environment domain and I'm not sure how the network should be setup.

I've setup the network connection per these instructions http://blogs.msdn.com/virtual_pc_guy/archive/2008/01/09/using-hyper-v-with-a-wireless-network-adapter.aspx

This works fine when IP addressed is set to DHCP, however when I set the IP address to static (needed for DC) I'm no longer able to contect DC VM network.

Any tips or links for Hyper-V DC test environment setup is appreciated.

Received a tip on Twitter about setting up an internal network in Hyper-V. This is the the piece I was missing. This blog was helpful blogs.technet.com/daven/archive/2009/01/12/… – Chad Miller Jan 5 '10 at 12:09
Switched from ICS to network bridge approach as described in this blog sqlblog.com/blogs/john_paul_cook/archive/2008/03/23/… Switch bridge and DC to static IP address and was able to install a working DC – Chad Miller Jan 8 '10 at 18:09
