Windows XP Service Pack 3 is the most recent, and final Service Pack released for Microsoft's Windows XP operating system. It was only released for 32 bit versions. It went RTM on April 21, 2008, and to the public on May 6, 2008. It is an especially important Service Pack and is a requirement for many newer programs to run on Windows XP, as well as being required for Microsoft's extended support of Windows XP, which ends August 4th, 2014.
