Hi! I am primarily a .NET/C# developer, and I also do a lot of work in JavaScript.

I specialize in date and time issues, especially the tricky ones involving time zones. You'll find me often responding to questions with these tags:

You can read my blog, follow me on Twitter @mj1856, look at my GitHub repositories, or come to one of my presentations.

You can also email me directly at mj1856 at hotmail.

I work for Microsoft in Bellevue, Washington, USA. All questions, answers, comments and code are from me personally, and in no way represent the opinions of my employer.

comment When does Windows Server update time for DST?
The clock should have behaved exactly as you described. Can you please provide the exact event log entry text, code, etc.? It is likely in response to some activity following the change, rather than the change itself.

comment Scheduled Jobs during hours of autumn time change
In the short term, you could use Windows Task Scheduler with that box checked to define your tasks to run at specific UTC times. But you'll probably want those to be one-time tasks that you build programmatically from your own code so you can take the rest into consideration.

I updated the answer with info about Windows Task Scheduler and SQL Agent. Neither are completely doing it right. If want to develop your own solution, you might want to look at Quartz.net.
