I found that killall -w apache2 probably does what I need. So cron +wget + killall + apache2 restart seems sufficient for me

Is'nt it simpler to use some shell script which invokes kill for apache process ? It looks like it issues simple /etc/init.d/apache2 restart which didnt work in my case. It is same as script in my answer

Maybe mono application hangs or terminates in unusual way and mod_mono leaves apache connection open. Application is written by me but I dont have an idea how to fix this. It started to occur about month ago. Switching to java or php is huge work. CPU usage was 0%. Since apache is not responding, no way to get information. Maybe some shell script which invokes kill for apache process can used.

For wkhtmltopdf I copied statically compiled executable from wkhtmltopdf.googlecode.com/files/… Maybe there is similar file for wkhtmltoimage for Squeeze ?

comment How to upgrade from Postgres 9.1 to 9.3 allowing read access during upgrade
pg_dumpall is running in late evening, it can assumed that data is not changed by users in this time. Destination cluster in 5433 port has new database with different name containing data. Will this method keep this new database in destination cluster, will it add only existing databases from source cluster ?

comment How to upgrade from Postgres 9.1 to 9.3 allowing read access during upgrade
I found that pg_dumpall -p 5432 | psql -d postgres -p 5433 works. It takes less than 30 minutes , 12 databases, total compressed backup files files size is 10 GB, is this possible or is there something missing? I have already create one database with different name in new cluster, will this keep new database? Is it OK to use this method since it doesn't require to take database offline?
