comment Header unset seems not to work with apache 2.4.10 and php-fpm
Aha, I am able to use %{X-Userid}o (I mixed up the i and the o) but only if I don't unset the header... and I'd prefer for the userid to not leak out in the headers. I'll continue poking away at this..

Thanks for the reply. Indeed, Header always unset X-Userid removes it from the response. Note that Header unset X-Userid always (with always at the end) results in a config error on restart. While the above did work, I'm still unable to note the value for use in the log as %{userid}n, nor am I able to pull it from the headers with %{X-Userid}i, which the docs state I should be able to do.

Thanks for your help! I'll just remain on mod_php for now and check back on this issue in a month or two.

Downgraded to 2.4.7 and the issue remains. Any headers I set from php cannot be unset or noted from Apache, whereas any headers set from within Apache can be unset from within Apache as well.

If I try to overwrite X-Userid it instead sends two X-Userid headers, one with the ID and one with test... Super weird.

also confirmed that Header unset test prevents the test header.

confirmed that Header set test test works with php-fpm. I see the header delivered to the client.

The header I set is visible to the client (ie, it is not Header unset). I'm using Header note X-Userid userid because that is what works with mod_php, and is specified in the instructions I've followed elsewhere. What should I use instead record the X-Userid header as an apache note for the log? If not a note, then what?

comment Stress login-area with Siege
No idea... give it a shot and report back? If it's a token embedded in a hidden field in the login form, then it should work just like any other user visiting and logging in.

comment SSH not seeming to run in bash script called via web server
I do see output from kindle.sh in general, just not from the scp or ssh commands inside of kindle.sh in cases where they would otherwise work. if i use a non-existent local source file, scp will complain and i will see that in the output. but if everything should work, ssh and scp are silent.

I tried adding -i /path/to/user/home/.ssh/id_rsa but this had no effect. Also tried chmod'ing .ssh and id_rsa to 777, still no effect.

My debugging code actually included this, but it's important to note! Thank you.

comment DNS Lookups for local MAMP web server URL taking 5+ seconds
Thanks, changing to example.dev seems to have solved this issue. Any hints on how I can see where mDNS may be having an issue? As I said, this worked fine for a long while and only recently started acting up.

Sorry, that wasn't clear. It creates a single new file on each run.
