comment Mitel Teleworker Connection Issues. Lots of TCP/UDP Traffic
Just pulled up some of the logs and it seems the destination port for all this traffic is mostly 6801 on our PBX (phones are sending data to port 6801 on the PBX)

SpacemanSpiff: The Phones are the only devices on that gateway, these's no other traffic, and the router isn't top-notch enough to support QoS (shameful, I know)

Two offices, one PBX. Issues only occur at the remote office.

comment Very slow write performance on Debian 6.0 (AMD64) with DMCRYPT/LVM/RAID1
good catch, most quad intels (i7 + Xeon for example) are EM64T based afaik, which x86_64/amd64 wouldn't take full advantage of.

comment Is there a way to speed up MDT 2010 deployment of Windows 7?
Unicast / Multicast / Direct Broadcast? I eventually got the other guys to use Multi/Broadcast after some convincing (and it suprisingly too quite abit!)

If you're deploying to systems with the same hardware I'd set up one just as you want it and take a Clonezilla / Norton Ghost image, I used to be able to do upwards of 30 systems a day like this in a workbench environment. EDIT: This was in the days of WinXP, I'm not sure of the support for Windows 7.
