Add comment to existing SSH public key I've tried it and we will see if it works. My university requires ssh based login for some things and they said they use the comment (which must contain my username) matching an account to a key. Since I didn't wanted to create another SSH key I simply copied my public key, changed the comment and gave it to them. We will see if it works. |

How can I monitor employees computer activity? Make sure the laws in your country allow you to monitor the employees this way though. - His profile claims he is from Italy. While I don't know Italian law I suspect that this wouldn't be allowed because it's more or less a democratic European country. And I personally can't fit "spying on my colleges" in my conscience. I would file this request under "managers wet dream" a tell them "well, it's possible but we need X$ for this", where X is sufficiently large so that they are scared of ;) |

Optimal UNIX File System Partition + Setup Strategy I personally don't see the advantage of having /var, /usr seperated off to a different partition. While /usr/local may be a good idea if you have custom installed software (=not installed via packet managment), the two mentioned are imho pretty useless. Also 2xRAM as swap is imho unneeded. If your system begins to swap everything gets dead slow, so you want to avoid this in the beginning. I personly only hav a swap partition with Ramsize+X because I use suspend-to-disk sometimes. |
