comment Set up dynamic virtual host subdomains on WAMP
@RiggsFolly "Not according to your question" - because it's not relevant. I'm just asking how to set up dynamic virtual hosts for WAMP, not what version control we should use. I might be working on 5 different things in different branches, in which case I want a quick way of switching environment without having to modify virtual hosts all the time.

@RiggsFolly We are using SVN. The structure works well for us.

comment How can I configure a dynamic virtual host on Apache?
I've not used mod_rewrite with virtual hosts before. Where do I put the rewrite rule within the virtual host configuration? Could you give me a solution for doing this with dynamic subdomains instead? e.g. Where the host name is branch1.example.com?

comment Upgraded phpMyAdmin, can't see any changes in browser. Server caching?
I have done a graceful restart on Apache but it had no effect.

Definitely not browser cache, already did that. Web server is Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat)

It must be server caching. How do I refresh the cache?

comment How to upgrade phpMyAdmin?
I have moved all the new files into the phpMyAdmin directory but it hasn't made any difference. In my browser I still see the old phpMyAdmin-2.11.11.3 even though the phpMyAdmin directory has been completely updated with new files.

The old directory appears to contain two configs though. Which one do I need? config.inc.php.rpmnew and config.inc.php.rpmsave

Okay, so should be fine if I just follow those instructions in the guide? Assuming then that I'll have two installations on there, how do I use the new one and disable/remove the old one?
