Another geek still trying to decipher the meaning of “42”.

It seems that amount his main interest are:

  • online communities of practice and the way they evolve in time
  • product design, simplicity in design and accessibility
  • productivity and the way the IT solutions are impacting it

comment How do I check number of processes per CPU using zabbix?
Thanks for clarifying this as I wasn't able to find it in the docs. Now I do have another problem, it seems that the status of this item appears to be "Not Supported", if I click it it goes to Disabled and back to Not Supported.

comment Hostname mismatch while connecting to XMPP server?
@vautee I do have a SSL certificate that has the the wildcard intranet domain (*.example.net) in SAN list. Still, when I try to connect with XMPP clients they will complain about HOSTNAME not matching certificate. My impression is that the clients do expect an example.com valid certificate even if the DNS server does report that that XMPP server is running on xmpp.citrite.net

comment Is it possible to create add people from outside the company inside AD mailinglists?
Can you please give me some hints regarding how does this work. Imagine that JIRA wants to be allowed to create accounts into AD/LDAP. It is possible to allow a service account to create Contacts (not users) using LDAP interface and to have these Contacts by default? My only experience with AD is via LDAP and I cannot control it other way. Clearly, I do not want to create accounts manually for people that are registering. Any, reference would be more than welcome. Thanks.
