The public key was declined because the server has no key yet. I was attempting to connect to the server to give it the public key I just generated.

When you say I need to create another user do you mean on the server? If so how would I go about doing that?

This did not fix the problem, however this time it quit with an Exit 1 status instead of the Permission denied error (the verbose output still has the error though).

@maliq I thought about that, however his problem was fixed by changing his permissions and I already tried that. Plus the only thing in my config file is StrictHostChecking No, so the standard permissions of 600 700 should work I believe
