comment DHCP logging with three Linksys E4200s
You could try getting them all to send logs to a syslog server but I'm not certain if the E4200 supports syslog and I'm not certain if the other two record DHCP events in syslog.

comment Dead Linux server - need help and options
You can also purchase a 2950 or 2900 if you wish - they all use the same drivers - dell mentioned on their press release that all models could share common images.

comment How can I identify the manufacturer of our raised floor?
In a similar vein to Zoredache's idea - give them your real email address then block theirs in your spam filter if/when they start sending you unwanted junk.

comment Is it reasonable to put all printers to another subnet?
+ 1 to longneck. What happens when users know about the monitoring system? Two guys have a dispute, A goes to lunch while B sits at A's pc ploughing through porn for 30 mins. B then drops hints A has been breaching company policy.......

revised Just how slow should my VPN be?
Changed 2900 to 2950. Trying to run 15 vpn tunnels of a 2900 would have been an even worse idea than the 2950.

If possible, my preference is to have one virtualised but one on a dedicated box.

comment Theoretical situation regarding lost ssh keys
iLO is HP's name for the remote access card. Dell call them DRAC, IBM call them Remote Supervisor. Basically if you have one installed and configured you can remotely get access as if you were at the local console as well as being able to remotely power cycle the system as well as other goodies.

comment How drastically can a public IP change?
Problem is due to ipv4 depletion, IP's have been sold and quite probably will be traded even more meaning they may not match original geographic locations. whois should work though.

comment How drastically can a public IP change?
I'm sure there are another few ranges my ISP uses, but I've got these from access logs on a forum I moderate and some of those I haven't listed could have been from usage from places other than home so I didn't provide the lot. (Also would have been a massive post).

comment Alternative to software RAID for mirroring
Never used Linux sw RAID myself so can't comment on anything except it won't use a battery backed cache. I've had some bad experiences with software RAID controllers (on supported OS's) that have made me never want to use one again.
