comment PHP NginX - Output Buffering - Video Streaming
I would like to provide an answer for your questions, but I do not posses experience in that matter. I suggested creating two virtualhosts, thinking that you can apply custom settings to each, and play with them the way you want. In my opinion, that's a really fast solution and clean.

Why not have two different virtual hosts, responding to two different server_name, one for movies and the other for streaming. Therefor, you can actually do X or Y stuff for each of those things.

comment Using an existing varnish service for another server
in my default config, server1, apache listens 8080 and varnish 80... so therefor, captures all domains... can't I do something like that, base on the ip of the 2nd server?

do I really have to do a req.http.host ~ "domain.tld"? Beacause that would mean that I would have to do an if for each and one of my sites that are going to use varnish.

Yes, they are different sites on different servers with different hostnames... and want to use one of the different servers, to act as reverse proxy for the other
