comment Multiple static WAN IP addresses to single LAN subnet
not to knock DD-WRT (I have two Linksys ethernet bridges in my house running it and love it to death), but depending on what sort of performance/reliability you're looking for, you may want to look at upgrading to a real SOHO firewall like a low end Cisco (they can be had pretty cheap from eBay or greymarket/secondhand vendors) or the likes. I frequently find that passing VPN traffic thru other firewalling devices can really be a PITA.

comment How domain name system is controlled?
This is also why NetSol is evil. Putting in * records so that nothing ever fails breaks the system.

comment Unable to access virtual IP after configuring NLB in windows 2008
well, it's only a "network" problem if your server is sending out the arp and the network isn't propagating it. Does NLB do a gratuitous arp?

comment Cronjob executing multiple times at once
I'm wondering why you'd use */1? Are you actually trying to say 01 * * * *? I'm actually curious, as I've not seen that notation before unless using some other divisor like /2 or /5....

what you're looking for is called "weighted round-robin"

comment What is the recommended client DNS config for resolving internal and external addresses?
while the internal DNS lookups are required for proper AD operation, you are not required to use only AD and ADI zones....I forward all of my ADI zones to bind servers without problem.

comment NTP server sync
+1 and a couple of comments to add: 1) the OP doesn't mention OS, but not all init files for NTP will actually run an ntpdate against the time server before starting NTP. This is important as NTP does not instantly sync the servers. 2) use the pool.ntp.org servers and specify your geographical subdomain; i.e., if in the US, use the us.pool.ntp.org servers as outlined pool.ntp.org/en/use.html
