interesting, regarding the frequency of the requests and the targeted web pages i first thought of a large scale screen scraping operation because my main server hold a large directory website. Now i think it could just be some kind of random data mining or security fault scanning or maybe some email collecting

Well it doesn't work with the ISP's SMTP which was supporting the SMTP requests of this software before. The local Postfix configuration support both HELO and ELHO commands.

Thanks for nullmailler (great tool), the -n option is apparently throw by an obscure configuration of the company postfix. So i will try an alternate way by using nullmailler.
