comment Set newrelic.appname per domain in Plesk 12
I did try that, I was really hopeful of it working - but unfortunately not. Now you mention it though, perhaps newrelic.ini was being loaded afterwards and overwriting the setting, and the newrelic.appname needs to be commented out of the main ini file. Assuming that worked, the second thing I'd want to do is make the setting dynamic so I didn't have to remember to set it up on each domain.

At the moment I have a workaround using SetEnv to get the primary domain name available to PHP, and then adding some code to each website to set the newrelic.appname - I didn't want to have to remember to add/maintain website code.

Sorry, I missed that. Anyway, you would absolutely think that would work wouldn't you? I've tried a number of different ways of adding that rule but there is absolutely zero difference with any of them. I even tried a rule to translate my external hosting server to Google's IP just as an obvious test - assuming that's something that's possible, that had no effect either.

This only tells you how to set up NAT rules, which I understand. What I don't understand is the specifics of the rule(s) I need. Trying a few that I think should do the trick results in basically no difference.

Not in the old copy of the manual I have, but an online version has a section on setting up NAT rules around 440. The problem is that I know HOW to set up a NAT rule, I just don't know WHAT rule to set up.

I understand that the problem is the traffic leaving the network when it should simply resolve to the internal IP, but I don't know how I can reconfigure the gateway to do that.

I had been using dyndns.org; but the IP is static so I'm just using the DNS of my web host to redirect the dev subdomain to it.
