comment Pacemaker/corosync timeout before resource transfers
At the moment I've got corosync with a 'token' of 4 minutes, which seems to do what I want. Assuming that works fine, would this any better?

comment Where should custom vmware-tools scripts go
If you're adding in scripts manually like this guy's doing they need to be in simple subdirectories such as /script/resume-vm-default.d/. Your link is only helpful if using the GUI, which this guy isn't (nor me, who came across this via google).

comment PG pool failover leads to two independent masters with network failure
I now have pgpool running on a virtual IP, controlled by pacemaker. If there's a network outage it transfers pgpool to the standby, initiates failover with the standby DB, and declares a new rule - that everything should stay on the standby when the master rejoins. When the network comes back up and the two communicate the master sits degraded until manually reset. There's the possibility that clients may still be connected to the master in a network division scenario, but as soon as the network comes up it shoots itself in the head. Works well in testing so far, but it's a complex setup

And.. it's fixed. Turned off SE linux, which was off on node 1 - that might have had something to do with it. Thanks for the help though !

Ok, I might I'm getting somewhere - It won't manually run from a script which says nothing but 'service corosync start'.. which other init scripts seem to be able to do, including corosync on node 1.

Chksums are all exactly the same. Just checked, first node starts up properly. Literally nothing in the corosync log, it doesn't write a line on boot, even in debug mode. The permissions on the log file are all the same as they are on the first node, so it can't be that either. It fails after running the executable and checking it's status. It won't even start when put in rc.local or in crontab, but it'll start as soon as the user manually runs it !

Nothing in the log file of the other node on boot, although there is when connecting normally. It's unicast so nodes are defined by IP, both correct. Hardware clock is correct, and the same on both.

All the same unfortunately. It's just a 2 node setup, and the first works just fine despite it being almost exactly the same.
