comment Accidently unmounted a local folder
Chances are the mount point of the folder you want is a parent of the folder, and not the folder itself, and/or you need to specify the partition being mounted.

comment Why my site is getting blocked and getting categorized as “proxy avoidance”
Corporate firewalls often block sites for obscure reasons or based on outdated IP lists. The easiest thing to do is compile a list of reasonable web sites that are blocked, put yours in there, and ask them to unblock them all.

comment How to best implement multi-os desktop provisioning?
You can divide this into two separate issues- disk imaging, which can be accomplished by any number of PXE boot imagers, and installed image management, which is likely to be O/S specific. If a Windows-based PXE image installer works at all, it will work for a Linux image. (or vice-versa). I don't think there is any advantage in trying to make it do more than that.

comment What VM allows running a physical Windows boot partition virtually and without conversion (p2v)
Once you lay the ISO contents out on an NTFS partition, you have to resolve the issues of partition sizes, boot sector and partition table location and contents, etc., a P2V conversion tool would be the best way to address this, but it might be hampered by not working with the original file configuration. There are also issues of device driver differences between physical and virtual, again you are looking at your P2V conversion tool to help you there...

comment The Web Hosting Connundrum for “not quite” developers
I'm confused... do you not want to be a developer, or you don't want to be a SysAdmin? Or both? I take it you just want to be a content editor?
