comment Why do I get a 404 for my index.page in my http/https nginx setup?
Last note: Problem was I loaded jQuery over CDN. Once switching to HTTPs that seemed to cause the warning. If I load the file locally and remove my granted exceptions, the warning does not show up again. So I guess I'm ok while developing. Thanks

Nice that worked! Can you make it an answer, so I can check. Side question: Any idea how to remove the "I don't trust, create an execption" when using OpenSSL?

ah. Very nice. Thanks! I also saw that I forgot the leading backslash on my pages, so changing from <script data-main="js/main.js" type="..." src="js/require.js"></script> to <script data-main="/js/main.js" type="..." src="/js/require.js"></script> solved my other question. Merci.

comment Where do I specifiy custom HTTP range-header entities and the necessary logic behind an entitiy?
I agree it would better to do this inside the application itself. Still I was wondering, if I declared "record" as entity vs. "byte", if I could pull a range of records from a large JSON file (say 1-9,14-15,299-301). My application logic would tell the client just which ids to pull.

comment Is it possible to mod_rewrite the full url or mask the actual url altogether?
Ok. Sounds good. I will give this a try sooner or later (more later... ) Thanks again for helping out! If I get to it and get stuck, I'll post here, maybe you can chip in again.

Yes, I was thinking something like this. Client can "pick" his URL to run on my system. If you have any pointer where to get me started, you'd make my evening, too (made my day already...). Thanks!
