If it involves computers or electronics, I probably do it.

I have experience with Exchange, Sharepoint, Zabbix, Powershell, Hyper-V clusters, and a whole host of other things.

If you need to contact me, my email address is grant@emsley.ca

comment Transparent caching solution
You will not and should not be able to cache https. At least not without installing your own certificate authority on client machines and decrypting all the traffic. Which in most cases is unacceptable.

yep, windows doesn't always use the DNS servers in order. If you are listing two DNS servers, they should be ones that return the same results. Plenty of documentation on XP's behaviour in that regard, not sure about newer windows versions. serverfault.com/questions/52923/…

One warning if all your DCs are virtual: make certain their time is syncing properly and not drifting. HyperV should take care of it but it doesn't always work. If the clocks get too far out of sync it can break things.

comment Heartbleed vulnerability when SSL provided by unaffected servers?
@hopelessnoob that is indeed why I said may include. Getting a cert reissued and installed may take a few hours, but a comprimised key can make you vulnerable for years to come.

And the contents of the memory of the load balancer may include the private key of the SSL certificate, so the certificate should be reissued in Scenario 1.

@lothar shelves come in many sizes. Pick ones that will fit the servers. I thought that point was self evident.

The question is not if the table can handle it, its whether the case of the server at the bottom of the pile can. It likely wasn't deaigned to do that.
