comment Pass your password to your SSH key via a script
Obviously there are security issues in this case, but expect is a useful tool for people to know about.

comment What is the difference between a 'Login' and an 'Interactive' bash shell
It's a very valid question as the distinction is confusing. Note for example that when you log in to a graphical environment via xdm and run xterm, you get an interactive shell and the login shell startup files aren't run.

comment how to setup local DNS service in office?
What platform, Windows or Linux? If Windows, I believe you need Server; if Linux then "bind" is the program to install and search for help on.

"No such file or directory" on an executable you know is there => run 'ldd' on it and it'll tell you what's missing.

Most tools for creating partitions will work EXCEPT the microsoft ones, which wipe a chunk at the start of the partition.

I'm not very clear on what you mean by "response packets" - do you mean with VPN encapsulation, or the payload inside?

comment Pain removing a perl rootkit
Unless you upgrade the kernel, what's to stop the hacker repeating the hack as soon as you remove the rootkit? There may well be a trojan kernel module that hides processes.

comment How to set up multiple web and database servers?
I'd also argue that having both web server and DB on the same box has a resilience problem: all of your eggs are in one basket.

comment How to set up multiple web and database servers?
Agree here: moving the web server to a different box from the DB server is the first place to start. Buy a nice big DB server while you're doing this. That will buy you some room for growth.

comment ssh hangs after one NFS server died
OTOH, soft mounts flake out unnecessarily under load and seem not to recover properly. hard+intr is the least worst solution.

comment bash: loop over 20000 files slow - why?
Looking at the code you've now added, I suggest rewriting it as a Perl program that reads each line of each file only once, filling in the variables as it finds them.

comment Linux Based Exchange Replacement
However if you go this way Outlook doesn't implement shared calendars in the way that Exchange does. This may be a dealbreaker.

comment What do I join when I name my domain with .local
Interesting, I'm sure I saw Microsoft documentation that suggested .local should be used, possibly for Small Business Server. Agreed that this is not a good idea.

comment Best approach to design this MySQL big database
Efficiency will depend on having the right indexes, which depends on what queries you want to do.
