comment vhost_alias_module domain.com doesn't go to www.domain.com
Thanks for the answer, 2 seems like a lot of work if I have more than a few domains but would be a quick fix. Where would I put the mod_rewrite section in #1? Would that go just before my VirtualDocumentRoot directive?

@ShaneMadden good point I did forget to write that. :-) Imply www if it's missing.

comment Run more than one Hypervisor
I think you would be better off asking for money for an extra server to run ESXi on. Before we were really on board with a bare metal hypervisors we ran a couple servers on VMware Server and it was a nightmare. I'm betting your time is worth more than a new server. :-)

comment OS X Computer names with (#) randomly added at the end
@Robert, do you want to add that as an answer so I can accept it? Do you know if the user of the computer would get an error message when this happens? The network these computers are plugged into has had multiple problems so I can see it happening. :-)

comment Strange VMWare networking issue
Have you tried rebooting the CAS server while it's on the second host? VMware sends a reverse ARP when it vmotions a VM and it's possible that your switch thinks it's still on the first host.

comment Use git commands with another path rather than the actual working dir
To clarify, you want to run the add command in a git repository outside of the current working directory?
